Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute, under the guidance of Dr Altaf Ahmed have officially launched an Infection Control app, which is freely available for download on Google Play store.  It can be searched under the title PKLI Infection control. Dr Altaf Ahmed is one of the founder members of the MMIDSP and plays a vital role in spreading the message of infection control and prevention across the country.

The main purpose of the Infection Control app is to decrease the level of infections, promote hand hygiene and prevent transmission of pathogens in all medical and non-medical environments. This app is a quick and easy reference guide for every clinical as well as non-clinical staff at any health care facility. This is a great reference tool for medical and nursing students, nurses, doctors, occupational, physical, respiratory and speech therapists.
